This is really, really wonderful. It's very clear that you're in no way trying to put down nursing, just to show that being a doctor is a better fit for Christine. And the slow bend from "don't want the responsibility" to "I would be fucking good at this responsibility--better than some of my colleagues, in fact" is a delight to witness.
